One-Piece Venting Nipple System
How does our One-Piece venting nipple system work?
Our venting technology allows air to enter the bottle without mixing with milk while a baby feeds. This creates equilibrium and contributes to a continuous flow of milk as a baby would encounter when breast feeding.

What should I use to wash the Coddlelife nipple venting system?
We supply each of our bottles with a cleaning stick which can be used with soap and warm water to clean our nipples. Our cleaning sticks are smooth (to reduce the chance of bacterial growth) and are made of polypropylene plastic which is BPA free.
Can I use other small pipe cleaners or cleaning brushes to clean your venting system?
No, we do not recommend using other devices such as pipe cleaners or abrasive cleaning brushes. These may tear the venting system.
What is a Cross-Cut Variable Nipple?
A Cross-Cut Nipple is ideally used when alternating between breast feeding and bottle feeding. This nipple helps your baby control the flow of milk because at this point your baby is sucking to initiate milk flow. It is thought that a Cross-Cut Nipple encourages sucking.
Cross-Cut Nipples are well-suited for feeding your baby thick juices and cereals.
Am I using Coddlelife One-Piece Venting Nipple System properly?
When you are feeding, the “Top” mark (you can see on nipple near the white collar) should be facing up to ensure our bottle functions properly.
This helps prevent your baby from swallowing excessive air while feeding. We recommend that you feed your baby in a semi-upright position (approximately at a 45 ° angle), We also recommend that a baby only feed under adult supervision.
I see a small slit at the end of Coddlelife's venting tube. What is this?
The Coddlelife Nipple Venting System is designed to facilitate milk flow out of the bottle and into your baby's mouth. Air is also encouraged to enter the empty part of the bottle through the venting tube. The slit at the bottom of the nipple tube helps to regulate the amount of air coming into the bottle to equal the amount of milk being drawn out. This equal exchange is what keeps milk flowing, reduces the amount of air your baby may ingest and helps to prevent nipple collapse.
If I see that the nipple has become worn or is torn at all, can I continue to use it?
We recommend that you check the nipple and the long tube frequently. You can do this by slightly stretching the nipple and tube to see if there are any tears. To function properly, the nipple and air tube must not have any holes or tears. Therefore, if you find any, we advise you to use a new Coddlelife nipple.
Are Coddlelife Polypropylene bottles safe for use in microwave, dishwasher and sterilizer safe?
Absolutely! Our PP bottles are microwave, dishwasher and sterilizer safe. We recommend washing Coddlelife products in the top rack of a dishwasher at a temperature under 140°F (60°C). You may also hand wash our products with hot soapy water. We advise to rinse well and dry all components before you use them to feed your baby.
We do not recommend using a microwave oven to heat breast milk or formula. This is because the way microwaves heat liquid may result in "hot spots". Hot spots are area within liquid which may heat up more than elsewhere. For example, after heating in a microwave oven, the top of the milk may be "warm" where the bottom may actually be considerably hotter.
If you do use a microwave oven, we recommend that you stir the milk to ensure the milk is evenly warmed and always test the milk before feeding your baby. Coddlelife recommends you do not heat milk beyond 98.6°F (37°C).
Coddlelife PP bottles may be sterilized in a steam sterilizer. If you prefer to use sterilizing pills or a sterilizing solution, we recommend you consult the instructions on the package of your detergent or sterilizing solution to know the recommended time limit for leaving products in the solution.
Can I use a sterilizing solution or pills to sterilize Coddlelife PP bottles?
Yes, but consult the instructions on your sterilizing solution or pills for their recommendations regarding sterilization time periods.
What kind of nipple comes with the Coddlelife bottle?
Coddlelife Polypropylene bottles come with a Peristaltic nipple featuring our unique Stage 1 One-piece venting system.
Yes, our glass bottle is microwave safe. However, as mentioned before, due to the risk of creating hot spots as well as possible overheating, we do not recommend the use of a microwave to heat breast milk or formula.
If you do use a microwave oven, we recommend you remove the nipple, collar and cap before heating. Do not heat breast milk or formula for longer than 30 seconds at a time. Stir the milk after reheating to prevent uneven hot spots and always test the temperature of the milk before feeding baby.
Are Coddlelife Glass Bottles safe for microwave and electric sterilizers and dishwasher?
Yes, Coddlelife glass bottles are sterilizer and dishwasher safe. We recommend washing all our products in top rack of a dishwasher at a temperature under 140°F (60°C). You may also hand wash all our products with hot soapy water. Rinse well and dry all components before use.
